Hello Students CBSE has changed its exam pattern for Class 11th & 12th for session 2024-25. The revised exam pattern aims to avoid rote memorization and rote learning, which is prevalent in traditional exams. CBSE intends to assess student's ability to think critically, analyze information, and solve problems effectively. However, there has been no change in the exam pattern of class 9th and 10th.

Assessment of Practical Knowledge Alongside Theoretical Understanding:  Incorporating practical knowledge assessments alongside theoretical understanding ensures a more comprehensive evaluation of students' competencies. This holistic approach fosters a deeper understanding of concepts and their real-world implications.

 

The revised format places more emphasis on aptitude-based questions, which will constitute 50% of the total marks, up from the previous 40%. The percentage of long-answer and short-answer questions has been reduced from the previous 40% to 30%, reflecting CBSE's commitment to developing higher-order thinking skills among students.
