The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) 2024 has started the online registration and choice filling process from 10th June 2024. JoSAA 2024 Registration and Choice Filling Important Dates

 

 

The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) has started the engineering admission process for the 2024-25 session. According to the new seat matrix released by JoSAA, there has been an increase of 355 seats in IITs this year, taking the total number of seats to 17,740 now.

 

A total of 295 choices from 23 IITs and 570 choices from 32 NITs, 26 IIITs, and 40 GFTIs are available this year. Thus, a total of 865 choices are being offered for filling this year. Last year, JoSAA counseling was held for 17,385 seats in 23 IITs, while this year the number has increased to 17,740.

 

IIT Bhubaneswar: 20 seats increased

IIT Bombay: 12 seats increased

IIT Kharagpur: 30 seats increased

IIT Jodhpur: 50 seats increased

IIT Gandhinagar: 30 seats increased

IIT Patna: 84 seats increased

IIT Guwahati: 10 seats increased

IIT Bhilai: 40 seats increased

IIT Tirupati: 10 seats increased

IIT Dharwad: 75 seats increased

 

Apart from this, IIT Madras has seen a decline of 6 seats compared to last year, but 50 new seats have been added in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). IIT Kharagpur has discontinued all 5-year dual degree courses this year.

 

How to Register and Fill Choices in JoSAA 2024

 

In the JoSAA counseling registration process, JEE Main candidates need to log in using their Main registration number and password, while JEE Advanced 2024 qualified candidates need to log in using their Main registration number and Advanced password. • Login: Use your JEE Main application number and Main/Advanced password to log in to the JoSAA 2024 candidate portal.

 

• Details Retrieval: After a successful login, your details will be automatically fetched from the JEE Main registration database.
