The National Testing Agency (NTA) has recently released an important update regarding the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET- UG) 2025. As per the Public Notice issued on 14 January 2025, candidates were encouraged to update their Aadhaar credentials and integrate their ABC ID.
APAAR ID, previously known as the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC ID), is a unique identification system designed to digitally store a student's academic records. It helps in maintaining a comprehensive record of their academic journey in a centralized manner.
Creating an ABC ID (APAAR ID) offers several benefits, including:
Unique Student ID: Each student gets a permanent identification number starting from Class I, ensuring smooth academic tracking throughout their education.
Academic Progress Monitoring: It helps track students' performance continuously and comprehensively.
Identifying Weaknesses: Teachers can identify subject-specific weaknesses and provide targeted help for improvement.
Streamlined Record Keeping: It securely stores academic records digitally, reducing the need for paper-based documents and making administration easier.
No, ABC ID (APAAR ID) is not mandatory for NEET UG 2025 registrations. Candidates can continue to apply for the exam using other available means. The complete details regarding the registration process will be provided in the official information bulletin soon.
To help students, NTA has provided a Step-by-Step User Guide and a video tutorial to create an ABC ID. Candidates who wish to create their ABC ID can access these resources at the official website: https://www.abc.gov.in/
