Registration: Candidates must use the email address and mobile number submitted during the NTA application process for MCC registration. All communications will be sent through these channels.
Technology Recommendations: Use a laptop or computer with the latest version of Chrome, Internet Explorer, Firefox, or IOS to avoid technical issues during registration and choice filling.
Document Submission: Physical reporting with original documents at the allotted college is mandatory. No other person can submit documents on behalf of the candidate.
Registration and Payment: Candidates begin by registering on the MCC website. During this step, you’ll pay a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit.
Choice Filling and Locking: After registration, you can select and prioritize your preferred colleges and courses. It’s crucial to lock your choices before the deadline to ensure they are considered during seat allotment.
Seat Allotment Process: The MCC processes the choices and publishes the results of the seat allotment on their website. If you are allotted a seat, you must proceed to the next step.
Physical Reporting: You need to physically report to the allotted college with all original documents to confirm your seat. If you wish to upgrade to a better seat in Round 2, you can still opt to upgrade while securing your seat in Round 1.
Eligibility for Round 2: Candidates who registered in Round 1 but were not allotted a seat, or those who were allotted a seat but opted for an upgrade, do not need to register again.
Fresh registrations are open for those who did not participate in Round 1.
Fresh Choice Filling: Candidates must fill in their choices again, even if they are the same as in Round 1. This step allows for adjustment based on new preferences or available seats.
Seat Allotment and Result: The MCC again processes the choices and publishes the Round 2 results. If you’re upgraded, you must leave the seat from Round 1 and join the new one.
Reporting and Upgrading: Similar to Round 1, you must report to the new college with your documents. If you are not satisfied, you may opt to upgrade to Round 3.
Fresh Registration: This round is for those who did not register in the previous rounds or those who resigned from their previously allotted seats.
Choice Filling: Fresh choices must be filled in this round as well. It is your last chance to choose preferred colleges and courses before the stray vacancy round.
Seat Allotment and Reporting: The MCC publishes the Round 3 results. If you are upgraded to a new seat, you must relieve yourself from the Round 2 seat and join the new one. Once you join a seat in Round 3, no further upgrades or resignations are allowed.
Final Commitment: If you do not report after being allotted a seat in Round 3, you will forfeit your security deposit and be eliminated from further rounds.
Seat Allotment and Mandatory Reporting: If you are allotted a seat, you must join the college. Failure to do so will result in debarment from the next NEET session and forfeiture of your fees.
This comprehensive process ensures that all candidates have multiple opportunities to secure a seat in their preferred medical or dental college through various rounds of counseling.
