All India Institute of Medical Sciences, better known as AIIMS, is one of the most sought-after medical colleges in India. The oldest AIIMS college is AIIMS Delhi which was established in 1956. Currently, there are 23 AIIMS colleges in India, of which 20 are functional and the rest are under construction or not yet operational. The total number of MBBS seats across India is more than 100,000, but all medical aspirants eye the AIIMS MBBS seats. MBBS program is the most sought after undergraduate course in the medical field. Students aiming for MBBS seats in AIIMS institutes in India have to first clear the NEET UG exam.
After the release of NEET UG results, the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC), along with the counseling schedule, announces the availability of MBBS seats in AIIMS institutes.

MBBS seats in AIIMS are offered through the NEET UG entrance examination. To get AIIMS MBBS seats, candidates have to fulfill certain eligibility criteria for NEET UG. These eligibility criteria are as follows –
The minimum age of the candidate for NEET UG exam should be 17 years.
The candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as compulsory subjects with minimum 50% marks (40% for reserved category).
Candidates must have qualified NEET UG examination.
